Plate Locate Has Joined the Motorola Solutions Portfolio

We have exciting news! Plate Locate has taken the next step in its evolution as a company and a service provider: we are officially part of the Motorola Solutions portfolio. 

This move didn’t happen overnight; it has been a journey for us. Last year we came to an agreement to sub-license Vigilant Solutions’ patent portfolio, enabling law enforcement to have greater access to commercially-generated license plate reader (LPR) data via its hosted LEARN® analytic software to assist in law enforcement investigations. It was very rewarding knowing that the combination of our data and Vigilant Solutions’ advanced analytics enabled law enforcement to better protect and serve our communities this past year. Now, the band is back together. Vigilant Solutions and Plate Locate are once again on the same team, part of the Motorola Solutions family.

C.A.R.S. Certification

Currently there is a big push within the industry by Santander Consumer and Chrysler Capital to have all repossession agents working their accounts to either renew or obtain a C.A.R.S. certification.  Plate Locate wants everyone to know that there has been a change to the C.A.R.S. certification that requires you to renew it if you have not done so in the last 12 months.  This is a great opportunity to ensure that your company and all its employees are 100% compliant with industry standards.  

Hurricane Harvey

Plate Locate Takes a Bite out of the "BIG APPLE"!

Expanding in key markets to ensure a bigger presence.  Plate Locate added more systems in New York and New Jersey in the last few months.  From 1 city with only 1 camera system to 20+ States with over 120. We will be deploying 5-10 additional camera systems per month with a goal to double our system count over the next 12 months reaching 20-30 million scans per month.  Next stop...  The "Sunshine State".

Vendor Management

All Plate Locate nationwide vetted agents will receive a questionnaires to assist in the vendor management process and collection of required documentation.  This process includes collecting insurance certificates, lot inspections, business licenses, repossession licenses, W-9’s, and more.  Communication will be key to ensure we have all valid information on file for every organization.

C.A.R.S. Certification

In an effort to support one of our major clients and ensure that our network of agents are the most compliant, everyone will be current with their C.A.R.S./ RISC compliance training before 08/31/2017.  Many agents in the past have earned their C.A.R.S. certification with no expiration date, and it was valid indefinitely. Recently RISC has required that all agents renew their certification annually.  This is a requirement across the industry to continue servicing for Santander Consumer and Chrysler Capital accounts.  Please don’t wait to complete this training and let’s ensure that we all make compliance our focus.
